Ahab

Ahab is an orange tabby boy with three legs. She used to belong to my best friend, Pam. She suddenly passed last November. Since her passing, Ahab has been fostered by one of the rescue group members along with his brothers and sisters. One night, Ahab broke the screen on the door and ran outside. He always has been an indoor cat, and he was very shy and timid kitty. We put flyers everywhere and talked to all the neighbors, but there was no clue. We put the food for him all over the neighborhood so that he can at least find something to eat.
A week after his missing, I finally called Annette, who has helped me find my missing kitty, Maddie a few years back. She told me that Ahab is alive and is somewhere that looks like a park and not too far from his home. I walked around and found the area that looked exactly like where Annette had described. This was actually someones property, a backyard.. it had a swing, slide and lots of grass.. and lots of hiding place.. it looked like a perfect place for a cat to hid and hang out. Greg (foster) started putting the food out and also put his sweatshirt so that Ahab could smell it.. the next day, there was lots of fur looked exactly like Ahab's on the sweatshirt and we were pretty sure that it was Ahab, who was rubbing against Greg's sweatshirt.
Annette also told me that Ahab actually would go back and forth from Greg's house to this park area all the time.. so we continued to put the food out by his house along with in the park like area and started setting a camera by the food. Sure enough, two weeks later, we were able to capture Ahab on the camera.. he would not go in to a regular trap, so we started to leave the food in a bigger trap and have him get used to eat in there so that we could eventually catch him. At the same time, Greg started leave the window open in his bedroom where Ahab loved to hang out in case he wanted to come back on his own.
Three weeks passed by, we were now ready to trap him.. but Ahab finally decided to come back on his own through the window to his bedroom! As soon as Ahab came in the room and settled down, Gerg closed the window so he would not back out ... it was 4 am!! Now he is back home with his brothers and sisters and very happy.
Without Annette's help, we would not have a good idea where to put the food out or where he might be hiding. Thank you, Annette for help bring Ahab home!!!

Gracie

Gracie was recovered last night. The ACO was able to coax her out of the woods and get her to the shelter. We'll be picking her up at 1 this afternoon.
I wanted to thank you again for everything you have done and to tell you that your information was spot on. Gracie never left the area. The locations where you felt her energy was exactly where she was hiding. I'll know more exact information this afternoon, but she moved around in the general area and made shelter for herself.
ACO says she's in great shape and seems just as sweet and friendly as we know her to be. I can't wait to see her. I'll be touch later but wanted to thank you right away.
